From tim: Today’s submission for the creative experiment is a beautiful piece of photography from David Johnston. Photography has been a passion of his since high school when he learned to use a 35mm film camera. He is an award-winning landscape photographer, and the only landscape photographer specializing in Middle Tennessee landscapes. Photography is something that allows him to express creativity, and is also a way to meet new amazing people. David loves capturing natural expressions that show true personality, and detail shots that freeze important moments in time. You can connect with David on Twitter (@DavidJArt), Facebook, or his website.

I was able to capture this shot after I scouted out the location about six months ago. One night when I saw the weather coming together to make an awesome sunset I went and sat on the shoreline of the lake for a little over an hour until I got the color I was waiting for.
